The zine edited by the KOP research collective is a self-made, small-scale, and independent publication that includes texts and images of its creators. In MetabolismiZine, researchers have freed themselves from the tight formalities and content requirements of traditional academic texts. The MetabolismiZine collection contains traces of diverse research paths, serving up sketches, connections, crumbs, and offshoots – works that do not fit the mold of current scientific norms; that do not adhere to the narrow confines imposed on academic texts; that do not secure academic jobs.
